No reward for SSDFT Team White in spite of fight

SSDFT Team White lost 1-3 to Al Taawoun SC in the last matchday of the Saudi Arabian group. The Team White youngsters showed a great improvement in their game compared to previous matches, but it was not enough to win the match.

The first half was very even, with chances for both sides, ending 1-1. The start of the second half was no different. In the middle of this exchange, the referee granted a penalty in favor of Al Taawoun but the Falcons’ goalkeeper managed to save it. However, the referee ordered it to be retaken and, this time, it went up 1-2 on the scoreboard.

Team White had a few more chances to equalise but with the team going on the attack, Al Taawoun scored the final 1-3. Thus, Buraidah’s team finished with 6 points, tied with Al Qadisiyah and Al Fateh, while Team White finished without a point.
