The Team Green loses to Real Madrid by five goals without a response
The Saudi Future Falcons Team Green lost their match against Real Madrid 5-0, in Group B of the International Champions Cup.
Despite the equal start, the royal club surprised the team green with a goal in the eighth minute by Iker, after a cross pass from the right-back Fortea. The team green tried to adjust the result through advanced pressure in its opponent’s area, and threatened the ‘Merengues’ goal on several occasions, such as Mohamed Al-Rashidi’s shot, which was successfully blocked by goalkeeper Montero.
As time passed, Real Madrid began to control the ball more and threatened the team green’s goal, as the player Baba was alone with goalkeeper Faris Al-Juhani, who managed to tackle the ball skillfully in the 34th minute. Fares Al-Juhani managed to save his goal again, and the first half ended with a goal without a response.
Real Madrid’s pressure continued in the second half, and in the 65th minute by scoring the second goal through Iker with a wonderful shot, following a pass from Baba. Two minutes later, Al-Maliky added the third goal through Serrano with a powerful shot from inside the penalty area. The Spanish team continued its attack, adding the fourth goal in the 73rd minute through Santos, who took advantage of a long pass that flouted the defense. Then Essi scored the fifth goal after a cross from a free kick in the 77th minute, so the match ended with five goals without a response.
