The Future Falcons team suffered a 1-0 defeat to their guests Sevilla, in Group C of the Al Abtal Cup.
The match began with attacks from both sides. Karam Aleissa nearly opened the scoring after intercepting a loose ball from the Sevilla defence and going one-on-one with the goalkeeper, but his shot failed to find the back of the net. In the 10th minute, Sevilla were awarded a penalty, which Álvaro successfully converted to score the game’s first goal.
The Andalusian team continued to press even after taking the lead, while the Future Falcons also forged several attempts to equalise, but the first half ended with Sevilla ahead by one goal to nil.
The second half began with the Future Falcons applying pressure as they went in search of the equaliser, but their forwards couldn’t capitalise on their chances. As the clock ticked by, Sevilla regained control and launched several attacks of their own on the Saudi goal. Neither team succeeded in scoring again in the tie, leaving the score at 1-0, and Sevilla emerged victorious.
