The Future Falcons program has concluded the 2023-2024 football season in Salou, Spain. The season has been one of continuous work, including daily training sessions, friendly matches and participation in the program organised, Al Abtal Cup, featuring some of the most prestigious teams in Europe.
The training program group is made up of 26 players who played a total of 36 matches against numerous European clubs and academies throughout the season. The season also included 204 training sessions, 233 tactical analysis sessions and 87 educational sessions in English. As a result of the season, five players from the program had the opportunity to turn professional: Nasser Alghamdi to Croatian club HNK Zagreb, Saleh Abdullah Alrakaf to Croatian club NK Jadran Poreč, Mohammed Saleh Alrashidi to Greek club Kavala, Abdulmalik Aljaber to Bosnian club FK Željezničar, and Meshari Haddad to Croatian club NK Bjelovar. In addition, 14 players are set to do trials with European clubs.
Ghassan Felemban, Director of the Scholarship and Future Falcons Program at the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Chairman of the Board, Mr. Yasser Al-Misehal, for his support and guidance. He noted that Mr. Al-Misehal’s visit had a significant positive impact on the players as well as the administrative and technical staff. He also thanked all the clubs for their fruitful cooperation with the program, which has enabled the players to do trials and for some to turn professional at various European clubs.
He added that this season has seen a different approach in terms of the variety of technical, administrative and educational programmes, which will undoubtedly help the players to develop their skills and improve their abilities in preparation for serving the national teams in upcoming competitions.
